Looking into everything and everyone involved started within days of Amirah’s death. Over time, connections were made; associations were identified; patterns were recognized. Puzzle pieces slid into place.
Jumping ahead briefly to May 27, 2023, and this post on Rogue Birth Center’s Facebook page:
What an interesting post! Seems to be Willa slinging accusations against a grieving family and a “mentally-ill teenager” that no one around here seems to know anything about. All this while portraying themselves as victims of outlandish “rumors” attempting to tarnish their safety record after the harm they’ve inflicted.
This self-incriminating post is a failed attempt at subterfuge, showing a continued pattern of deception, distraction and diversion from crimes against the innocent. The post has since been removed.
Grants Pass Police Department confirmed that whatever had occurred with RBC was found to be unsubstantiated and had nothing whatsoever to do with our case. Again, it’s no surprise that there may be other victims upset with them.
We don’t spread rumors; the info shared is documented and sourced.
In Amirah’s case nothing was out of their control; in fact, quite the opposite as our records clearly show.
We have never waged a concerted attack; people have voiced opinions on review sites, and too bad, so sad that they don’t like negative reviews. Should the public only see the false claims about the safety of your services and risk their own and baby’s lives? What does full disclosure and informed consent mean?
We’ve never engaged in something as stupid as harassing or threatening messages. Seems like ol’ Willa would’ve provided some proof of this victim-hood claim.
We don’t know what kind of idiot calls the cops and makes threats of violence against other people. Okeeey…
As for the “mentally-ill teenager” making “false accusations of abuse by her father”, TODD (not his real name) — The case coverage listed below states that their oldest daughter was found credible by psychiatrists and judges in her accusations of SERIAL INCESTUOUS SEXUAL ABUSE by TODD for years. Her mother, WILLA (also not her real name) enabled and protected her pedophile husband, allowing the repeated rape of their little girl. Their daughter was NOT THE ONLY ACCUSER wanting to testify. So are the other victims that came forward also mentally ill?
A slimy plea deal was cut four days before a trial that allowed TODD to evade the numerous counts of sexual abuse, pleading “no contest” to Tampering with a Witness while out on bail (attempting to interfere with official proceedings; bribery). He was given the maximum incarceration under the sentencing guidelines, with credit for time served in jail (betw. 2010-2012), for a total of ONLY 4 1/2 years, with the remainder (2012-2015) served in prison.
Then upon release from prison, “Todd and Willa” open Rogue Birth Center (2016), and begin working daily with naked, vulnerable pregnant, laboring, birthing, postpartum lactating women, infants and other children, while posing as “licensed” maternity medical providers and upstanding business owners in the community.

These facts provide particular insight into all the characters of RBC staff and associates. They’re so ‘tight’ in and outside of work that they recently got matching tattoos on their forearms.
Having long suspected that Todd was going by his middle name, while looking into Josephine County Business Registry and Property information in late April, 2023, we noticed a first name initial “B” for Todd listed under Manager for Willa’s #3 business venture, Essential Roots, LLC.

While viewing RBC property records, we discovered a newly created “Ervin Trust” to protect the birth center property from a potential judgment from our pending civil litigation.
Upon opening the Instrument # of the Trust document, there was Todd’s real first name:
Willa Woodard Ervin isn’t tied to Brian Todd Ervin, but Wendy Michelle (King) Ervin definitely is and has been for 30 years, since 11/20/1992, in Tarrant County, Texas, where they were married.

The last name “Woodard” belongs to Brian’s mother’s current husband, David Woodard. Wendy-Willa is using her mother-in-law’s latest husband’s last name as part of her alter identity. Nothing unusual about that!

Brian Ervin’s half-brother from Texas, Erik Ervin, came forward last week alleging Brian Ervin sexually abused him and another relative during their childhood.
“I still can’t wrap my head around it,” he said. “In roughly three years, he’ll be able to go right back to whatever he wants to do for the most part, short of having a felony conviction. Obviously he’ll have trouble getting a job in the future, but that’s not the real problem here. The real problem is him being around kids. That’s what’s really upsetting. This could come up again in the future 10 years down the road. There’s nothing to keep him from doing this again. There are no rules. They completely missed the issue.” [emphasis added]
The case should have gone to trial, Erik said. He said he felt that the judge was right that there are no eyewitnesses to these kinds of crimes, but that the jury would also have to consider that Darcy wasn’t the only one alleging abuse.
“There would have been two to three people there saying this happened and that there’s a huge history of abuse. I think that would have gone somewhere with the jury, I really do.”
To all victims of sexual abuse that have been under RBC care, this information may be extremely difficult to read. However, when readers become aware of the bravery and strength that it took for Darcy and Brian’s step-siblings to come forward, we believe that the good people of our valleys will support us in a demand for criminal charges in the death of Amirah Rayne. We need your help — we’re exhausted.
We have a dead baby as a result of utterly gross negligence. We have people toying with the lives of the public. We have people at the birth center concealing their identities and criminal histories.
Seems Wendy is as much of a sexual pervert as her husband. Go to one of their birthing classes and you may hear about blow jobs and clitoral stimulation during labor. Because don’t we all want to engage in sexual activity during birth? There’s also Megan’s “magic fingers”, in comparison to Amy’s long and thin fingers.
Vaginal exams, lactation classes, birth classes, encapsulating placentas, touching, probing, penetrating… so what exactly is Brian doing while women are on display in exam room Maren (their other daughter’s name)? Or in birthing rooms Eydis & Freya? Or in the bathrooms? Could there be cameras where there shouldn’t be?
They set themselves up so that their prey willingly walk through the front door. Brian didn’t have to ‘find a job’ as a felon,. His role as co-owner of Rogue Birth Center placed him in a position of relative obscurity, always there in the shadows.
So why would 51 year old accused pedo (chops man) BRIAN TODD ERVIN, be co-owner and manager of Rogue Birth Center?

Not believing her own daughter, while she stood by and allowed her husband to have sex with her daughter. And what about the other children in the home? Civil attorney says he’s going to file soon - “any day now”.

Civil attorney sends an email telling us he’s too busy and suggests that we find someone else!
Originally took the case not for $ but, he said, to put this case/RBC on the record and get a judgment despite the likelihood of never collecting on it. He knew they hide their assets, but said that he was sick of hearing about cases like this, and then told us of few he’s been involved with. He also said at the start — in August, 2022 — that most civil attorneys won’t take these cases because there is no malpractice or liability insurance, so there’s nothing to sue for (it’s all about the $ in civil court).
Called the fourth attorney on the original list from Aug. ‘22, sent records and waited 6 weeks for a yea or nay.
July, 2023
No go with final civil attorney as of the 20th - again, no $ in it + a lot of time.
Plan B activated: Release everything to the public and see what everyone has to say about this information. Will ANYONE help us hold these people CRIMINALLY RESPONSIBLE for Amirah Rayne’s unconscionable death?!!!

Thank you for reaching out to us! We have filed complaints with several state agencies, gone to the police twice, and exhausted our will to secure a civil attorney because there is no malpractice-liability insurance and no attorney wants to pro bono just to get the case on the record. Even with a civil judgment, it would be extremely difficult to collect. Ultimately this case should be a criminal matter involving willful misconduct and, at the very least, criminally negligent homicide of Amirah and attempted of Rachael. These women (& the pervert husband) belong in jail! We have not directly contacted the D.A. since our efforts with the police went nowhere. I came across your blog unexpectedly through some Facebook rabbit hole and read all of the public posts just now. My heart breaks for your loss of Amirah Rayne. Another mama I know of also lost her daughter because of an incompetent midwife a few years ago, and I have some friends and acquaintances who have also experienced birth injuries or still birth as a result of birthing center idiocy.
I want to support your goal of holding RBC accountable. Is there someone I can reach out to or email/call to help push an investigation? Are you crowdfunding for a lawyer? Does the DA know about this case?
I commend you for the work you’re doing to advocate for accountability and transparency while you wade through impossibly difficult grief.
Amirah was beautiful. Crying alongside you for all you’ve been through.
