A detailed comparison of Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM), Certified Midwives (CM) and Certified Professional Midwives (CPM) can be found HERE.
Who else was under the false assumption that being a ‘licensed’ midwife meant a medical license similar to that of nursing? Nope, it’s more like a hunting permit/license — interchangeable terms. Stating that a midwife is ‘licensed’ is highly misleading. And the LDM license credential really should just be called a ‘permit’. The drugs and devices that they are allowed to use are in no way comparable to that of an M.D..
Does participating in 50 births (+ other minimal requirements) really qualify a high school graduate with an online certificate to engage in life and death pregnancy health care? How can these arrogant ignoramus’ be allowed by law to be medical providers without a medical degree? Oh yeah, they established “rules” that they promised to follow (when they feel like it).
Midwives are recognized as medical providers within the state structure and among the general public. People typically don’t know that there are distinctly different types. CPM-LDM midwives are uneducated, minimally trained and inadequately experienced. They CONfidently play make-believe, misleading people into referring to them as medical doctors.
CPM-LDM midwives don’t have medical degrees. They’re PERMITTED to use limited drugs & devices in an Out-Of-Hospital (OOH) at home or freestanding birthing facility (which is nothing but a home away from home). They are NOT REQUIRED BY LAW to carry malpractice-liability insurance; if they kill or injure you it’s often futile to pursue a civil suit—they hide their assets.
So why are RBC CPM-LDM midwives advertised as MD-OBs? They have not earned these degrees and yet are showing up with them in search results. How did this association happen and how did it end up online to mislead the public?

"Rogue Midwives collectively bring decades of knowledge and experience. Working as a team, we often refer to ourselves as "the hive collective" to offer your best care!"
Where was your education and our informed choice when you ignored and intentionally lied to us about Amirah’s breech presentation?
How could you fail to properly assess amniotic fluid and succeed in gas lighting us with ‘cervical fluid’ and ‘river water’?
Why did you ignore all the Oregon Rules and Health Evidence Review Commission Guidelines and your beloved MANA standards of care, as you sit on both the Midwifery and Birthing Center Rule Advisory Committees, Willa? WHY???
Since its creation in 1984, Via Vita continues to provide state-of-the-art, up-to-date academic midwifery education that encompasses the MANA Core Competencies and meets NARM’s General Education Requirements for Certification. Via Vita is a comprehensive, self-paced (two-year equivalent), distance-education program based in Texas and is recognized as an Approved Course of Study by Alaska’s Board of Certified Direct-Entry Midwives.
A student on the day of Amirah’s delivery; already involved in the death of a baby. Rackey’s in Nevada now, and we hope she’s not practicing on anyone.
In 2008, the state said this about Rowan’s midwifery care:
The Oregon Health Licensing Agency, finds that your omission of essential information to your clients and the Physician resulted in uniform choices and recommendations, and your failure to adhere to standards of practice while performing Licensed Direct Entry Midwifery services, renders you a SERIOUS DANGER TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY should you be permitted to continue to practice Licensed Direct Entry Midwifery. [emphasis added]
Good thing we printed them because recently 19 of the 49 disciplinary actions have *POOF* disappeared! Now it looks as if the only midwives with disciplinary actions have last names A-L.

Hi April,
Why are midwifery disciplinary actions being removed from the site?
For example - Rowan-Jacqueline-Settlement-Agreement-and-Stiplulated-Final-Order-17-8737_and_12-7039.pdf
